This jacket is not a solid color, it is heathered, so the black heather is more of a dark charcoal color.

The North Face considers to be their standard fit, and our feedback has been that it runs on the smaller size.  We strongly encourage you to use the following actual measurement chart and compare those measurements to something that you already own. Product Measurement Chart  If you plan on wearing anything heavier than a scrub weight material please consider sizing up!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Machine wash separately on delicate cycle in warm water. Secure and close all zippers, and hook and loop closures before wash. Turn garment inside out. Do not use bleach or softeners. Tumble dry low heat or for best results line dry. Do not iron or dry clean.
